In more recent years, Kato’ ki has provided small financial donations to the primary school in the village of Cruz de Ayapan. These small donations have had meaningful impacts. Financial support has contributed to the building of an additional classroom and the acquisition of gas stoves.

With an additional classroom, some of the children and teachers have a bit more space and more time to focus on teaching and learning.

With the gas stoves, cooking breakfast and snacks for the children no longer require the burning of firewood as much as before, thus reducing deforestation.
